It was a quiet morning in Port Saint Lucie, the sun just beginning to cast its golden rays over the sleepy town. Steamworks Coffee Bar was already bustling with activity, its distinctive, earthy aroma drawing in both regulars and newcomers alike. The walls, adorned with photographs of lush coffee farms and vibrant tropical landscapes, told the story of Victor’s journey — a tale of escape, reinvention, and the pursuit of perfection. And at the heart of it all, Michael “The Coffee Prophet” stood behind the counter, his eyes glinting with an almost otherworldly focus as he prepared yet another bespoke cup of coffee.

Victor stood near the entrance, watching the scene unfold with a mixture of pride and anxiety. He could feel it — the weight of what was about to happen, a shift in the air. Since opening the shop, the demand for Michael’s divine coffee creations had only grown. Each cup, an alchemical miracle, had become more than just a drink; it was an experience. A connection. A revelation.

But even with their success, there was an undercurrent of tension. The years in hiding, the ever-present fear of the government’s long reach, the uncertainty of what the future held — Victor couldn’t shake the feeling that something was on the horizon. Perhaps it was because of his brother’s sudden release from prison or the fresh winds of change blowing through their lives. Or maybe it was because of a letter he’d received only a few days ago, a letter from the Agricultural Commissioner of Trinidad himself, offering an unexpected proposition. It was an invitation, yes, but one that carried the weight of his past, the ghosts of his family’s betrayal.

“Vic, how’s everything going?” Michael asked, snapping Victor from his thoughts. The young man’s voice was always calm, almost too calm for someone who had become a national sensation. He finished preparing a complex brew for a customer, his hands moving with grace, as though he were conducting a ritual rather than making coffee. “You seem a little distant today.”

Victor chuckled softly, trying to shake off the feeling of impending doom. “Just thinking, Michael. You know, sometimes my mind gets a little carried away with the past. But things are going great. You’re really becoming a legend.”

Michael smiled, his eyes glimmering with that knowing look. “I don’t need to be a legend, Vic. I just want to make people feel seen, heard… like I understand them. The coffee, it’s just a way to channel it. To give them what they need before they even know they need it.”

Victor nodded, appreciative of the young man’s wisdom. It was as if Michael’s gift was a direct extension of his soul, as if his very existence was entwined with the energy of the world around him. He could taste the sorrow in one person’s cup, the joy in another’s, the hope in yet another. It was a humbling, almost spiritual experience — and one that Victor knew could change the entire coffee industry forever.

But there was still something gnawing at him. He’d always prided himself on the secrecy of his Steamworks method, the subterranean technique that allowed him to grow coffee beans in ways no one else could. His coffee was unparalleled — rich, complex, smooth with subtle hints of earth and steam. It was the kind of coffee that stayed with you long after the last sip. And together with Michael’s otherworldly ability to blend these beans into something almost magical, they had the potential to revolutionize the entire world of coffee.

But that also meant they would draw attention. The wrong kind of attention.

Just then, the bell above the door jingled, and a familiar face entered the café. It was JT, the third member of their trio, and the one who had helped bring their vision to life. He was dressed casually, as always, but there was something different about him today. His brow was furrowed, and there was a sense of urgency in his step.

“Victor, Michael,” JT said, approaching the counter with a sense of purpose. “We’ve got a situation.”

Victor’s heart skipped a beat. “What kind of situation?”

JT glanced around, making sure no one else was within earshot. “The letter you received… from Trinidad. It’s real. I’ve done some digging, and the Agricultural Commissioner isn’t just looking for your formula. He’s offering something more.”

Michael set down his cup, his focus sharpening as he leaned in. “What do you mean?”

JT looked grim. “He’s offering a deal. He wants you to come back to Trinidad, Vic. Not just for the formula, but for something even bigger. He’s offering you control of the coffee industry — a monopoly, if you will. With everything that comes with it.”

Victor’s breath caught in his throat. “Why now? Why after all these years?”

“Because they know what you’ve got,” JT said, his voice low. “The Steamworks method. And they know what Michael can do. They’re offering to wipe the slate clean — give you everything back. The farms, the business — and more. They want to partner with you.”

Victor felt his pulse quicken, but he forced himself to stay calm. This was the moment he had been dreading, the moment when his past and present would collide. Could he trust the government of Trinidad after everything they had done? Could he risk going back and possibly exposing Michael’s gift to the world in a way that could exploit him?

Michael’s voice broke through his thoughts. “What does your heart say, Vic?”

Victor looked at the young man, his eyes full of understanding. There was no easy answer to this. Returning to Trinidad meant facing his demons. But it also meant he could finally reclaim what was rightfully his — the land, the technique, and perhaps even the chance to bring his family’s legacy to the world in a way they never could have imagined.

And then there was Michael. Could he really bring this gift of coffee to the masses without it being corrupted?

Victor took a deep breath. The weight of the decision was almost too much to bear, but one thing was clear — he couldn’t do this alone. He needed Michael, and he needed JT, the only two people he truly trusted.

“Let’s get to work,” Victor said, his voice steady but resolute. “We’re going to need a plan. And I’m going to need both of you with me, every step of the way.”

Michael gave a small, knowing smile. “You’re never alone in this, Vic. Let’s see where this road takes us.”

As they gathered around the table to plot their next move, the steam from the coffee bar seemed to swirl around them, enveloping them in a haze of possibilities. Whatever the future held, one thing was certain: they were about to brew the most powerful cup of coffee the world had ever known.

And this time, there would be no turning back.

His crime? He discovered and patented the subterranean method of using steam to grow coffee beans in Trinidad and Tobago. Because of this the Agricultural Commissioner devised a plan to confiscate Victor’s farmland and then developed a plot to steal his farming technique. After they could not get the formula they kidnapped his two small boys, bankrupted his family and arrested his brother,
Victor, made a daring rescue and escaped with his formula to south Florida along with his beautiful wife Ann and their two sons. He moved to Port Saint Lucie Florida, where he joined a small local church and began a job in the construction industry. He and Ann later welcomed their third son Nate. This is where the Steamworks subterranean farming technique stayed hidden until 2019.
During Victor’s time at the Local church in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, His boys now in youth group, he began to serve in the church so he could spend more time with his family. After a few years, Victor noticed that Michael, the Pastor’s son, had keen sense of smell and a knack for making the most creative coffee blends he has ever tasted. This keen sense of taste and smell went beyond the natural, it was almost as if it were a supernatural gift. Michael had the unique ability to make his coffee creations for people without people even telling him what they wanted.
It wasn’t long before the church attenders would just come up to the church coffee bar and Michael would greet them, and then he would prepare a special, unique cup of coffee for that individual person without them even placing an order. Pretty soon he became known as “The Coffee Prophet”. Word spread throughout the community about the Coffee Prophet, and people began to come see this Prophet from all over Florida, then the entire Nation. By 2012 Coffee Pilgrimages had been started from some of the most famous places in the world known for their coffee. Coffee growers from Mountains of Jamaica, Growers from the Hills of Columbia, Ethiopia, Hawaii, and Tanzania just started showing up at this community Church on the Treasure Coast to see what the Coffee Prophet would make for them.
Victor was so impressed with the Coffee Prophet that he just knew if he combined his subterranean Steamworks technique with the almost supernatural ability of The Coffee Prophet, then the greatest cup of coffee could indeed be brewed and made available to coffee lovers all of the world. Victor’s only problem, he was a wanted man for crippling the coffee industry in The republic of Trinidad.
Years passed by, then one-day Victor woke up on an unusually chilly day in February 2019. He was not expecting the good news that he was about to receive, but this would be the day that changed his life forever. Around 11:00 am his cell phone rang, “Hello, this is Victor, can I help you?” “Hey Vic, it’s me, your brother. Vic I’m free, I was released from prison this morning.” We finally exposed the Agricultural Commissioner for his crimes. The Government is issuing you and your family a full pardon and they are giving us the farms back with restitution” “Vic you can come home” Victor was in disbelief but he knew that he could not go home, not with the Coffee Prophet here in Port Saint Lucie.
Victor “The Steamworks Coffee Bean Farmer” and Michael “The Coffee Prophet” along with JT managing production, formed Steamworks Coffee Bar LLC and opened their first Coffee Bar in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, serving Beans from their unique subterranean Steamworks process, grown in Trinidad, Brazil, Jamaica, Hawaii, and Columbia.
This is where you will encounter The Coffee Prophet and his fantastical coffee elixirs which custom made for you with the best coffee beans and blends in the entire world!
